Hello,

Welcome to my web site. My name is Nick Jones and I run Alpha Dog Behaviour. My role is to support owners and their dogs to enjoy better relationships by improving dog behaviour problems with a calm approach and positive training.

It's a simple site that aims to answer a few basic questions you may have about the services I offer, and a little about me and my approach as a canine behaviourist.

Dog behaviour and dog training are diverse subjects, and as a result I encourage you to contact me directly without any obligation for a relaxed conversation about your dog and any concerns or problems you may be experiencing. I can help you with a broad range of dog behaviour problems and training issues; from getting started with your new puppy, to cases of dog aggression.

Based in Bewdley, Worcestershire, I cover all of the surrounding counties, and frequently travel up to a 200 mile radius on request. I will travel further when requested.

Here are some of the many areas I can help you with:

After a home visit (visits to my office and grounds can be made by prior arrangement) to assess the dog, and it's environment, a plan is devised and worked upon, whereby you and your dog can learn to understand each other using non-aggressive methods of behaviour modification creating a calm, happy home. There will be no shouting, or aggressive handling of the dog...a calm approach will be maintained throughout.

Being a full member of the CFBA, I am able to carry out the same work as described above, but you may be able to claim my fees back through your pet insurance, whereby all you have to pay is your excess. Update: Pet Plan appear to have dropped the excess on behavioural work, which comes under 'complimentary therapy'. This can make all of my fees refundable.
